we had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun

Last night we were talking about the food we ate in Mexico and whether there was anything actually bad or even disappointing we'd had. Couldn't think of anything as I loved everything I ate there I seem to remember.

It inspired me to actually make something out of my Wahaca cookbook (featured in the background in the picture) for lunch today. So here it is: my own version of a torta sort of wannabe chilango style: ciabatta roll, avocado with lime, tomatoes with olive oil and chillis, red onion, chorizo sausage, spinach leaves and mayonnaise. I was glad no one witnessed me eating this beast as I made a bit of a mess of myself. But my god, was it tasty!!

My other highlight of the day was listening to Colin Murray's soundscapes on the radio. Particularly liked the bit with the dialogue from Napoleon Dynamite with White Stripes in the background. Made me chuckle.
