The Rendezvous

This gallery is round the corner and hosts exhibitions. They have some nice paintings and pottery but we’ve never bought anything despite countless episodes of window shopping. 
It takes its name from the Rendezvous ice cream parlour which was across the road and run by an Italian family. My mother frequented the coffee bar as a girl and it sold great ice cream when we were kids. After a change of direction it is now a popular Turkish restaurant.
