21 Today!

Our 21st international Friday night quiz! And we were late arrivals, a black mark, though still there before the Limekilns connection came up. And the victors tonight? Well, coming out of the pack with an unexpected, calorie-induced, late surge were the Phoenix Breakfast Cub. Well done guys, the trophy’s in the post. That’s the US post of course. Pity!

Earlier we’d lunched on cake and coffee in a very hot Germering with VeroS before managing to visit our friend Wiggerl in hospital. Sad to see him so ill but glad that he was well enough to recognise us and give us a thumbs up - and sip his beer. You wouldn’t get a Helles on the NHS!

Our weekly wander changed to a stroll in the woods before stopping by friends on our way back to Germering. Where I left my bag, had an enforced detour back into Munich to retrieve it, and arrived late at the quiz.
