Pear Core Choreography
We had a very late but enjoyable evening at C and J's house last night.
Such was my level of "tiredness" this morning I had absolutely no inclination (or need) to drive anywhere for the dog walk. Following on from yesterday's blip about holding Bruce's undivided attention for a possible staged blip photo I always seem to depart the house with a pear or two in my pocket. Given that the dog's share is always just the core after personal consumption of the outer part of the fruit it occurs to me that the dog walk not only provides some decent exercise but is a valuable contribution to the five a day thing too; a "win win" situation. (Just how annoying is that phrase?)
We found a nice spot at the top of Maol Ruadh with a real wilderness backdrop but the pear core choreography just didn't go to plan. Suffice to say the guys got their treat but without the desired shot in return.
"Nice spot", M may disagree. As we slowly emerge from winter, the summit of the wee hill is becoming ever softer and more boggy. It still felt freezing in the wind. A couple of weeks ago you could pace across the tundra like heathery summit, firm under foot in a straight line. Today we we had to zig zag round the edges of pools and soft deep bogs and on one of these awkward traverses M went over the top of her boot with icy cold water.
Despite the pear scene needing a reshoot some other day Caley continued his show of blistering pace and chasing after his treasured punctured ball. This is him waiting for its next launch. None of this pear nonsense required.
