Geranium Bronze
This afternoon there were two of the smallest butterfleis I'd seen in the courtyard and I managed to get a few shots of them. With my new found ID skills, "small = skipper species" seemed about right and so that was what i thought it was although I'didnt like the small tails on it..
I did however sends a cvopy to someone who knows and I quickly got the repsonse that it was in fact a Geranium Bronze - a type of non-blue Blue.
An interesting speices as it arrived in Europe in the 1990s on Geraniums being sold as pot plants from South Africe and has been spreading north from the Balearics ever since - so much so that it has got to the Ardeche.
A quick visit to the market at St. Melany ionv olved a lengthy queue for me to get vegetables and for Tricia to get pork. All succesfully done however.
