A family of Flickers

This is heavily cropped, but I was thrilled to see a family of Northern Flickers feasting on grubs and ants this morning. You can see our crispy and dormant front lawn grass has taken a real beating from the heat and drought.

For the Record,
This day came in sunny and hot, but has suddenly clouded up with the rumble of thunder sounding closer and closer. I thought it best to post this trio before shutting down the desktop.
