Hair today and yesterday!
Is this even the same person?!!! I feel soooooo much better after this major lopping of my luscious locks. Thank you to the lovely Lisa, of 'Sheer Bliss' which certainly describes the experience of having my hair cut by Lisa, she is so skilled. It was also the opportunity for a catch up, s I haven't seen her for 5 years, since moving away from Cambridge. So my early start - I left at 7.15am - was well worth it. Thank you Lisa for giving me a huge boost and making me feel human again - when I sent a photo to Jon, he said I looked 15 years younger - so i think Lisa performed magic today. I'll be back in a year!!
From Lisa's in Horseheath, i drove to mums in Hoddesdon. As i was 2/3rds of the way there, it seemed silly not to use the opportunity for a weekend with them. I had a cup of tea with them when I arrived, and then I took mum up the town in the mini. We had a nice wander, looked in the charity shops that were open and bought a few bits, ending in Morrison's. There we got lucky in the bargain section with a bag of lemons for 5p, a carton of Greek yogurt for 8p and 4 finest fish cakes for 13p. We got 2 of each!!!
Home as Manda arrived, and after a bit of lunch, we started work on mums bedroom, moving all the furniture round and cleaning as we went. It took quite a long time! Everyone is happy with the end result.
We picked a few apples from the tree. It is groaning with fruit but it is so high up. So many on the ground which have now just become a burden for mum. Getting rid of them is very difficult. I filled two bags to take home to cut up and freeze.
Now I'm cooking a supermarket curry for us all, then we plan to watch James Bond!
