We Got Rain This Morning!

After weeks without rain and a long string of days that were 100 degrees or more, I was awakened this morning by a clap of thunder and the wonderful sound of rain on our tin roof!  It lasted long enough to give the creek a good drink, but was moving away before 11:00 a.m.  I hurried down to the creek before the sun and warmth dried all the raindrops on the flowers, since I didn't get to post a flower yesterday for Flower Friday because of the Heron Rule.  I checked, but he was nowhere in sight, so I was free to use the fabulous flowers weighed down with raindrops.  So many pretty ones, but this one was a favorite.......We would be glad to receive more rain, but we are grateful for what we got!
