Ramblings in Life

Kentmere Tarn

It was the first proper day of our walking holiday, breaking the journey to Scotland in the Lake District.

We headed over to Kentmere for our first "real" hill walk in a number of months. It was a bright and glorious day, but the terrain was definitely testing and we managed a rather modest 14km in the end.

After our walk we headed down valley and stopped off in Hawkshead, where a combination of ice cream, espresso and beer provided suitable refreshment after a day in the sun.
