The Victoria Barracks

Our last day in Ballater before we head off home.

These are the rather picturesque Victoria Infantry Barracks in Queen's Road, which were built in the 1880s to accommodate the Royal Guard when the monarch was in residence at nearby Balmoral. They are still in use.

I like the way that the colour of the roof tiles match the colour of the distant heather clad hills.
