View over the Derbyshire countryside

Visited the National Trust grounds at Kedleston Hall, I go past this place countless times as its on the way to Derby but until today had never visited it.

Karin decided it would be good to join the NT and do visits, I have mixed feeling about this, mainly due to their rather stringent policy on photography in the internal structures etc. (I got reprimanded for attempting to take a photo of the dome inside).

They filmed quite a bit of the 'Duchess' film here and it was interesting to see the costumes etc. The interior has hidden passages in the walls so the servants didn't disturb the daily lives of the owners by walking through the main living areas.

Nice walks around the grounds and this view looks towards where I live in the far distance.
