Heron
We decided to walk another section of the Water of Leith, at first planning to start at the visitor centre where we finished last week and walk back to Leith. But the weather was very unappealing, cold and rainy, so we only went as far as the Dean Village and walked back from there. They've made progress with the huge flood defences but there are still un-walkable sections and a serious deterioration in bio-diversity.
The heron was sitting in a pine tree, presumably sheltering from the rain and looking utterly pissed off in that way that herons do. Maybe it's the same heron that bignonsense saw recently.
