Upcycled
It’s been a busy week back at work and with the remains of the parquet restoration ongoing until Wednesday. Yesterday was spent mostly doing DIY trying to bridge the gaps between the floor and the skirting boards. With a bit of work we ended up reusing the old skotia that was there after we cleaned it all up a bit. There was much frustration to be honest - we are not happy nor natural DIYers! Anyway it’s good for now until we next redecorate.
Today we have almost got the house back to normal with the help of some neighbours who assisted moving the piano. It’s a heavy beast! My upcycling project is also complete - my Lloyd Loom Ottoman restored to some semblance of its former glory with new paint and a new seat and cover. I’m pleased with how it turned out. It’s not been a very restful weekend but at least it feels like we’ve made progress. And the floor looks great!
