Clean your shoes before you come in!
The beauty of Glasgow's Victorian architecture never ceases to amaze me.
This blip shoes a typical boot cleaner found on the steps of all the big houses. In year's gone by, folk would hold on to the railing and clean the soles of their boots on this little contraption before entering the house. Great idea!
Interestingly, my grandpa's council house, built in the very early 1950s, had the exact same contraption outside the main door.
I'd love to see some of the old things come back into fashion. Unsure how this would look outside a Barrett house right enough :)
