Flypast
Rather typically, we missed the flypast of the red arrows over the castle, although we should have had a good view if we'd realised. We didn't even hear them. But we fixed another flypast today, which is the bird that we bought at the farm shop when we were staying with norfolkdoc and W. It's not obvious from this picture, but we've put a couple of coats of black paint on it, because we decided we didn't want to go for the rustic rusty look. This looks sleek, and hopefully will stay that way for a while. There's already some wind coming in tomorrow, so we await with interest what happens there. Hopefully, it's aerodynamic!
Today felt almost normal. I did some zoom yoga this morning (which I suspect will be the new normal for a lot of yoga classes) and then went to an outdoor 'bootcamp class' at Projekt42. Yay, for that. There are new rules about adult outdoor sport, in advance of gyms opening next week, and meanwhile every bit of open ground and waste ground in Leith is being repurposed for outdoor bootcamps and (as I came through Jane Street on the way home) zumba classes. It was good to be in a group doing an ordinary exercise class, although obviously there are still rules on social distancing. After that, I popped into the supermarket for a couple of bits, and got hold of a couple of things - including yeast - that haven't been available for a while.
Mr A had cooked delicious lamb shanks, which was quite a treat for a weekday.
