Life in Sunny Dubai

Killing Time

What a beautiful piece of engineering this Harley Davidson is. Not mine I hasten to say! This was parked near my car as we left Russian Beach this afternoon. I love it when an owner keeps their vehicle in tip-top shape!

See me and G and the chassis number!!

We were at the beach as our cleaner showed up later than normal. [He's pretty random actually but G reckons she has worked out his timings.] We had already been out several hours in the morning, starting out in Gs car. It wasn't too long before all plans changed. Her car has been giving trouble since we got back but it usually rights itself once the engine warms up, but not today. So we drove it across town straight to the Peugeot garage, amazingly with absolutely no stops!

Good thing G knows about cars so she could explain where the problem was. They said they had to keep it overnight to check it thoroughly. No problem. A metro station has been built not too far from there, so we walked to Emirates Headquarters [Station] located bang opposite the airport runway and the new A380 Terminal. Too bad we both forgot our cameras!!!

Headed to Deira City Centre (Mall) to check out a few things like 3D TVs and stereo amps see what the deals were. G got the most gorgeous loaf of freshly baked french bread which we enjoyed for our lunch... and that brings us to where I started my story.

Seriously, Jellyfox has posted a pretty cool blip for today. Whilst we're reading of fellow blippers not wanting to go out into the cold and rain, we've had a very pleasant day, in fact, the breeze on the beach was so cool, we didn't stay out too long.

Hope your weekend has been excellent. :)
