Early morning or afternoon tea

I have always liked fine china. This cup, saucer and plate I bought about 55 years ago when I first lived on my own. It was a little mini flat in Portsmouth - furnished and equipped but not exactly to my taste. I could do nothing about the furniture as I knew it would only be short-term but I bought this china - just these three items plus a small teapot and milk jug at first - for my early morning and tea-time 'cuppas'. All my working life I managed to have my main meal at lunchtime, mostly, and tea in the evening - bread and jam and cake or something on toast - and I still do - but now I use bigger cups (though still bone china!)
