Praying mantis

This one decided to spend the night inside on a curtain. I'm not sure how it escaped Saffron's notice! I moved it outside in the morning and put it on a grapevine, hoping it would be safer there..
I had a great morning swim this morning at the local beach. It was pretty rough and I nearly went away to try another beach, but was glad to have stayed in the end as I saw more fish than ever before; maybe they were sheltering behind the breakwater from the rough sea.
I went for a brisk late afternoon walk with 3 friends and 2 dogs, and afterwards we all went for a drink and snack together,  along with 2 other halfs and another friend, which was very jolly.
