Lots of Autumn fruit in the hedgerows now. Anyone know what these are? Too big and juicy for Sloes.
Spent a torturous five hours or so tonight trawling the Internet for somewhere suitable to go on ‘Staycation’ in late October...with the cottage websites warning of unprecedented demand we found it unusually difficult to find anything that ticked all our boxes...the nicest ones had no parking; the most luxurious were in bad locations or too expensive; the ones in great locations had terrible reviews or looked shabby...
We made some sort of compromise falling on the side of luxury over location and merging with some nights in a favourite hotel. I hope the provisional bookings we made after midnight by the time we’d decided don’t fall through on confirmation as they sometimes do!
