Wet, wild, and windy morning.
The rain is pattering against the window pane as I write. Gusts of winds spraying others against the glass.
It began during the night.
A predicted storm making its presence felt.
Raindrops are chasing each other down the telephone wire outside the bedroom window.
At present, 7.30 a.m. I’m hunkered under the duvet!
The school opposite will open for all pupils next week.
Quite a challenge for all the staff and parents alike.
Our grandchildren go back to school in Bristol on the same date.
A parent has to accompany them to their appointed entrance door. When you have two other children to take to their doors, plus a toddler in a pushchair, all at different intervals within a half hour slot, it’s a bit of a nightmare. Especially if it is raining, as the two who cannot enter first will be outside for at least half an hour.
Then this is repeated at the end of the day.
I guess it will eventually resolve itself once school has been up and running.
These are unprecedented times.
