Masses of Pink

As we walk up Buckie Braes there are allotments on the way and I spoke to a guy who was putting his tubs of freshly dug tatties into the boot of his car commenting on the large haul! He said he was getting one large tub from one shaw!! I was amazed, but his soil was like Monty Don’s on Gardeners World. I told him that his display of pink dahlias were beautiful (two rows of pink) and he offered me a large bunch. Also got courgettes and plums. Good chat and nice of him to share.

A wee walk further in and was shocked by the devastation of the lower paths of Buckie Braes caused by the floods two weeks ago. The Council have a big job to sort this out.
