Just Another Manic Monday....

Another damp start . Started hauling barley from the shed next door to the wet grain tower here. Just finished loading the trailer when Murrie’s lorry arrived in for a load of store lambs for Stirling mart. Couldn’t get out the shed so went and gave them a hand to load ( much as I love sheep- not )
A trip to Falkirk this afternoon went more or less to plan, once I found the right place.
More upsetting was the fact that as soon as we got past the Pentlands the sun shone all the way there and back. Went to check to see if the barley was dry enough to spray, but there was a line in the road, one side of it bone dry and the other soaking wet. Guess which side of the line the fields were!
It did eventually dry up enough for the sprayer to get 2 fields done tonight. He rolled into the field just as we were watching the Red Arrows fly past over Edinburgh. Very quick but impressive. They had disappeared westwards behind the Pentland Hills before the sound of their engines covered the 15 miles to where we were though . Seemingly they were due near Newcastle 14 minutes later . Beats taking the bus !
