Starling Palaver

I could have chosen 'symposium' or 'summit' for their alliteration, but 'palaver' seemed almost onomatopaeic (yes, I had to check the spelling) for what starlings can get up to.

There was a time, in my flying days, when a birdstrike for a low-flying jet aircraft was bound to be with a starling; but I don't think that there are as many around nowadays, of either . . .
