Gabor couldn't make it into the city because of the thick snow in Veroce, which meant we had a few extra hours to explore. I'm a little sad that I didn't make it to Ujpest for Dedi but I'm sure I'll go next time.
We spent today wandering around Budapest in the snow. Apart from the wet feet and C's cold it was lovely! We finally got round to visiting the House of Terror, it's a fantastic museum although a sombre venture into history. I found it fascinating and grew even more respect for my family who experienced these times.
On a brighter note, we took the Orange line a few stops to Gerbaud. I found it hard to believe that although C has been to Budapest four times now, this was his first trip to Gerbaud... that was until I had a shock reminder of the price of a cake! We wandered past this statue on the Danube. It's the little princess, that looks more like a prince to me. No idea why it is here, or what it symbolises, but I'm sure a quick Google will help me find out.
We jumped on a flight back to Berlin this evening and are now in our cosy apartment. Great weekend, now time to get ready for work tomorrow.
