Wide Angle Wednesday - The Semi Natural World
There really are very few places one could call truly wild, or completely natural in the terms the word holds nowadays. Wilderness is not human friendly, and is therefore modified to make it more so, even if it is still called "the wild".
These fish probably think they're in a natural environment - how would they know otherwise? On the other hand there may be questions, or even whole new aquatic religions, because of the impressive gaze of Ivy as she dispenses a handful of koi-food.
I don't know how many fish there are in the pond now. I'm merely intent on making sure the number of human toddlers in there remains at zero. Some of the koi are approaching two foot in length, and Ivy's fingers might be a tasty morsel.
They've had me a few times, so she knows about dangling fingertips.
