Wild Wednesday: "Wee Sleekit"

I shamelessly confess: this isn't one of my pictures. Rachael took it when she was out walking the dog this afternoon.

Hendricks often "pounces" into the grass at the side of the track... and when he did so today, he came back proudly holding this little field mouse by its tail! Rachael told him quite forcefully to let it go, and bless him, he did. The mouse, seemingly unperturbed by its ordeal, scurried around a little bit... then headed back towards Hendricks. The two of them (one of them being held tightly on the lead, just in case!) literally stood nose-to-nose, regarding each other with curiosity (now THAT would have been a picture!). Then the mouse ambled off into the grass, which is when Rachael took this.
