Dinner in Goa
Cafe Goa that is in Barton le Clay, Bedfordshire.
A belated birthday dinner for Mick's 52nd birthday. This is a really nice Indian restaurant that is a cut above the average both in terms of its decor and its food. however, I fear for its survivial as this is the 3rd time I have eaten here and every time, it has been pretty quiet. Tonight, there was us (a party of 7) and 1 other couple. Not a recipe for success, so if you live in the area and haven't tried it, I would encourage you to do so whilst you still can.
Was light snowfall this evening. Not enough to prevent us from going out, but I took a heavy coat, hat and gloves just in case :-)
4th training session for the 5km sponsored swin today. I'm currently following week 1 of a 6 week program which entails a 200m warm up, 400m steady swim, 50m, 100m ,200m, 100m ,50m swim and 200m cool down. Plan is to do this twice a week until mid March and then go into weeks 2 - 6 which get you ready for the full 5km. target righ now is to improve technique as with good technique, I should be able to swim further with less effort. That's the theory at least.
