New job

Started at Gwalia Mine site which has some pretty cool facts, at 1800m deep it is the deepest *haul trucked* mine on the world.. (most mines this deep and deeper use conveyors).

It was discovered in 1896 and in 1897 Herbert Hoover (of 31st US President and Hoover Dam fame) was the first general manager and spearheaded the initial development of the pit.

In 2020 I started work here as an exploration geologist, this being my 5th mining job in Australia.
