Should I start to stockpile?

After hearing on the news last night that the wheat harvest was not good this year and it would mean flour prices rising I spotted this wire basket in the supermarket this morning. Wonder what the shelf life is for a bag of flour?

Another miserable day watching the rain fall on ground that is already saturated.  As dog walking is on hold for the moment I've finished off some sewing and cleared out some of the photos from the folders on my PC and all while watching a rerun of Line of Duty.
