Anchor Line Building Glasgow

Now a restaurant and serviced apartments, this very handsome building was the Anchor Line’s headquarters. I have a friend whose father was a lead violinist in the thirties on the ships plying from Glasgow to New York. Glamorous life that is gone but with strong memories in the stone carvings of Neptune, mermaids and fish.
