Down by the beach
Yay! It's the weekend!
G needed to pick up some "supplies" from school before term starts, so we went sooner rather than later. It didn't look too bad looking out the window, but walking to the car and getting in... it was HOT!
I dropped G off and went into The Mall for the first time in months. The Amer centre I wanted to check out has closed down. So have a number of other stores. It's sad!
Fortunately, G was ready to be collected again so we did our usual wend around the roads that go along the beach. I pulled over for G to finish her WhatsApp chat with her parent. I was driving along these roads she likes and she was missing it all. Things didn't change much, so I continued to drive along. Also, the car was getting really hot and needed to keep moving. I pulled over again to get this picture. I've never seen a purple flag before.
So, as I was looking for an Amer centre to finish off the renewal of our residence visas. As luck (?) would have it, we drove to one that had the exact services we needed AND we found a parking space in the shade! We got one of two things finished. The actual residence visa application was missing one document - the original of the sponsor's Emirates ID. A copy won't cut it. There you go.
Back home for lunch with a pizza and to cruise into the weekend. We attended T@3 as did our friends Eileen and David. G is discovering interesting movies on Netflix. We watched a great one on a boy in Malawi who rigged up a windmill to bring water to his village. Revolutionary when the rains fail and there's a famine. It was based on a true story.
