No, not me, the black capped chickadee, silly! Lol! • This little bird is a favorite and visits our seed feeders year around • It’s the state bird for Maine and Massachusetts, and provincial bird for New Brunswick in Canada • They have one brood per year and sing faintly to their young when feeding them. How sweet is that?? • Chickadees have a rigid social hierarchy too. Most aggressive over less aggressive, male over female and older over young. So, if you’re the most aggressive and oldest male, you are automatically the top bird! • They hoard food, especially during colder months, and they remember their hiding spots too • Well, this cute and curious chick needs to sign off and get ready for our weekly Virtual Happy Hour with friends from afar. So, I’m not the oldest or the most aggressive, so I’m definitely screwed!!
