Oi, Nigella, I need a word
Yes, I am aware that this looks thoroughly unappetising, but in my defence, I don't think it is entirely my fault.
Whilst browsing the BBC FOOD website yesterday I found this Nigella Lawson recipe. The picture looked good, I had all the ingredients, so I thought that this would be a no-brainer.
Umm ...
Admittedly, I did halve the stated ingredients (300g of chocolate? Nope), but there is no way on this green earth that the bar in that photo was made with same ratio of ingredients as the ones written down. That's why mine doesn't have a nice, tidy top to it as there wasn't enough chocolate. Also, the marshmallows melted, and I must be considerably stronger than Nigella because I managed to whack the biscuits a couple of times and ended up with mostly crumbs!
Aesthetically dodgy, but they tasted ok, although if I try it again I'll up the amount of chocolate and, if possible, find a brand that's not quite so bitter as the Lindt that I've been using.
