Wednesday: Criss Cross

I had lunch today with my former publisher friend, Scott (as in he was formerly a publisher, now retired, not as in a former friend).  He’s in the process of writing his memoirs which I’m pleased about as I’ve been telling him for ages that he should.  I was very flattered when he later sent me a few chapters, asking if I’d take a look and tell him what I thought, particularly as I don’t come from the publishing world.

K. and I have been very abstemious of late but we did have a couple of beers tonight to celebrate the fact that I’m now off for two weeks.  She also let me win two games of backgammon.

I think I may have blipped something similar before but I do like the overhead wires.
