Jacob Blake

In light of what's happening in Wisconsin, I saw these three kids hanging out, having fun, making each other laugh and thought of Jacob Blake. Perhaps he was doing the same thing at this age with his friends. Now, he's likely paralyzed for life and two people are dead, one injured by a 17-year-old right-wing militia wanna-be cop. 

From everything I've read, Jacob was breaking up a fight between two women, and the police were called. From there it's fuzzy. The police say he wouldn't stop at their command and was going to his car to retrieve a weapon...with his 3 kids in the back seat. I have no faith in the Wisconsin Sherrif's Dept. The same Sherrif that said, "Well, if people hadn't been out past curfew, this wouldn't have happened." Total victim-blaming. 

Nothing more than a total deconstruction of American policing will suffice. I'm not talking about "defunding" the police, I'm talking about serious "reforms." Nothing else will do. Enough is enough.
