Cake Monday

Public holiday here so not a lot going on. I've just spent over 5 hours marzipanning 4 cakes and baking a Madeira, halal, one. The marzipanning went generally well. But will it dry out in this heat and humidity? And I think getting the fondant icing on on Thursday will be 'fun'.
The madeira turned out well, then I tried to be too clever, and it's fallen apart. It will taste good but not for the wedding. I will make another.

#2 son has still to surface. The bride isn't well. The other 3 are watching tv, 'Top Gear' and a film. I'm off to the pool.
