Tiana and Thaim

This is Tiana, our beautiful grandneice, and the latest addition to the family clan born just before Christmas in Bangkok. This photo landed today in my iphone, hot from Sri Lanka, and had MrsB cooing straightaway. With the terrible wet weather outside, and the thick heads of me and our two overnight guests, this was just the sunshine tonic needed. That and a nice lazy brunch.

Given Tiana's name and look respectively, she could be part fairy tale from Disney's Princess and the Frog and The Little Buddha combined. What a little sweetheart.

Appropriate today then to also mention Tiani's half-brother Thaim who is currently studying Law at University College London. This grandnephew (I lose count) has been in UK since last September, but we have yet to be graced with his visit north to see us - cheeky monkey. Happy to report though he is a mad 'Red', though less happy with him when he said this week he might have got one ticket for the Man United vs Real Madrid game coming up soon at Old Trafford, and can visit us then if so. Charming. I might just have to play the poor-old-uncle-and-respect-for-elders-who-havn't-got-a-ticket card, if that is the case.
