Another update on the ongoing road repair job that is being undertaken on State Highway 65 (which goes from Murchison to Springs Junction, being the inland road that connects between Nelson and Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand).

Three heavy trucks have spent two weeks carting rock from the quarry round to this site for the excavators to place for building up the rock wall. Another excavator is out on the shingle bed, screening gravel, and bigger stones for the different parts of the job that they are doing here.

Last week all that gravel on the lower side of the rocks got washed away so they had to rebuild it again before they could carry on to the stage they have it at this week.
