The smallest car in America

Smartcar, it’s called. It’s actually a German car, produced by a division of Daimler AG, with its major assembly plant in France, as I discovered when I looked it up. Easy to park and powered by electricity, it would be great for tootling around the city. But I’m not sure I’d want to take it out on the dangerous California highways.
