My Mother 1956

By the time this picture was taken she had graduated from college, worked through a world war as a "Rosie the riveter" type, married a returning Air Force Sargent, established a new household in a city hundreds of miles from home, supported her new husband through his university training,
then helped him start his new business back home, established another new household in their newly purchased home, given birth to their kids, all the while supporting her mother and her sisters.
Even though the sounds of our family's stories echo in my head and her strong sense of loyalty and fair play continue to guide me, I still miss her.
