Ashbourne in the rain...

We went to visit a friend with a new knee..
We returned via Ashbourne, which always looks as though it’s expecting a lovely event! (Whatever the season, it seems, that there bunting is ready to party!).

It never invites us though :-)

Today has been rainy (and long). The roads were busy, wet and ‘roadworky’.

However (!) the red wine forecast has proved unerringly accurate: Fruity, mellow and (apparently) necessary.
