Traditional kitchen garden

The last full day of our lovely week up here in Moray.   After a last walk around the harbour in the sunshine, we visited the garden at Gordon Castle.   A labour of love as a group of volunteers gradually renovate this large walled garden into a kitchen garden with cottage garden flowers, vegetables, fruit trees, soft fruit and a natural play area.   Despite it being towards the end of the season, there was still a lot of colour around.

Unfortunately it wasn't long before the rain started again, so our walk was curtailed and we headed to L's for tea before onwards to Elgin for pizza.
