Zoo

Up early, car packed and off to Chester zoo!
We weren't sure what the zoo would be like, with all of the social distancing measures in place, but we had a lovely day, even though it was raining. All day. And we got soaked!!
The covid measures meant that we had to queue for certain areas. We queued for 20minutes for the jaguar house, only to find the jaguars were nowhere to be seen, and the 1 sloth we could see was fast asleep! We also decided against the 45+minute queue for the realm of the red ape, settling instead for the 15 minute queue for the smaller monkey house so Chloe could see some monkeys in real life. She was fascinated!
Thomas had watched an episode of the secret life of the zoo and seen some rock hyrax and was determined to see them, he also loved the painted dogs!
After another queue to get into the shop we left with 2 new cuddly toys - a monkey and a painted dog - and headed to Anglesey.
After a long and very rainy journey, in which at one point we were at the front of a rolling road block, we arrived at robs cottage for a late tea and bed!
