Road works

These tolerant workers are upgrading the road surface on the Aros to Dervaig road. It is much needed in places although not sure they will cover all the rough surfaces. Anyway we are pleased for whatever they do, this busy road is not given a high priority even by island standards.

John was in the motorhome in front having just collected it from Salen, it needed a new part on the exhaust. We both tried to phone the guy doing the job in recent days to check it was ready for collection but no reply, this is not unusual and we set off. On arrival the van was neatly parked to the side with two vehicles sat in front of it and not a soul in sight. Anyway J checked the small car, it wasn’t locked and could be moved leaving room to drive the van out. The car was moved back and off we set with me driving the Nissan Leaf, a little adventure before coffee time. I wonder where else other than an island this could occur.
