Before the snow started to settle

Have you ever watched the blue tits on the bird seed holder? They toss seeds in all directions as they burrow down to their favourites (ours seem to like the sunflower seeds best). All the discarded seeds fall to the ground and feed the birds that can't cling to the perch. This pheasant was scratching around like a chicken in the grass below the bird feeder. The snow was just starting to settle and he went to shelter with the snowdrops under the camellia bush.
