Ennui

Socialising is so strange theses days that when it happens my brain goes into overdrive and won’t switch off. With all the company I had yesterday I had a restless night and a sluggish morning today.

When I walked in to town to see daughter#1 at the gallery I saw this really clear view from Hanover Street over Trinity and the Forth to sunny Fife. It was wonderful to see so far after a week of miserable rainy misty weather.

David and Luca popped in for a chat this afternoon and
left with two books and a small table- not a bad haul for a short visit.
They have been busy for the last fortnight having a new kitchen made, so I’ve booked a meal with them when it’s all sorted out.

And that, apart from a small stint of baking, was my day, I’m even boring myself writing this. I must do better tomorrow.
