Stretching exercises

The Dahlia-yoga class began.

"O.K. girls.  Are you ready?  Let's give this just one more big stretch.  Let's unwind all those petals and show everyone what you have!  As those silly humans say, 'strut your stuff!    'Dahhna, honey, you just aren't giving it your best!  You can do better!  O.K., now, s-t-r-e-t-c-h. "

Dahhna, in her own subtle way, says "But Dahbney, I can't!  I am older and have far more petals than you, and I am just too tired. "

Dahbney, never daunted as the exercise queen of the dahlias, insists, "But Dahhna, how are you ever going to lose those extra petals unless you exercise them off.  They are dying, honey!  Let them go . . . let them just fall off . . . "

"Dahnitria, where did you come from?  Didn't I tell you to go play in the foliage below?  You aren't supposed to be here with us when we exercise", Dahbney scolded the young bud.  " I don't care if the other dahlia mothers let their little buds run amok.  You will do as I say!"

Dahnitria hung her little bud head, and sank down into the foliage below.

"O.K., girls.  Let's try this again.  Stretch those petals and let the sun shine right into your sepals.  Ready, and one, two, three, four, five and six" .  The class continued until all of the dahlias were much too exhausted to continue.
