Shop Small

Local shopping today for nice stuff - olives, strawberries, wine, cheese. All the little shops round us - always a joy for me as the daughter of a master grocer. My dad's shop would now be called a deli. He really was ahead of his time. The smell and sound of coffee being ground always reminds me of being in the shop - I was in it constantly as a child as we lived above it. I was so lucky to see my dad any time I wanted during his working day.
It's so vital to support these small businesses.
J had to eventually more or less march me out of the cheese shop!


BTW this is Saturday and the fungi was Friday. Hmm, not sure what my phone is doing!
