Best Friends

Frankie from next door popped in for a visit yesterday which pleased Oscar no end! My neighbour is in Health Care and is being moved to 12 hour shifts so i may become Frankie's dog sitter! It's too long for him to be left alone and if I have one sleeping dog in the house after a walk I might as well have another! In fact i may have 3 sleeping dogs if The Exile finds work and Ginger comes for company as well! Good job i now have plenty of room in my kitchen and garden! 
The garden has taken longer than anticipated to complete - too many rainy days! I could describe one of our walks in the woods last week as a paddle not a walk - all the paths turned into streams with the amount of rain that fell! I'm hoping for an Indian Summer so I get to enjoy it when it's finished! The Builder is coming tomorrow and Monday to finish the Pergola and last bits of fencing. Then it will be my job to do the painting! You can see the colour I have chosen here! if you look top right! However there is a slight problem! The grouting is not the colour specified on the tubs and my builder is in talks with the manufacturer as to how to rectify the problem. To replace it will mean removing to a certain depth to put the right colour in - a time consuming job! My builder is not happy! He is outraged that such a mistake should have happened - someone mixed the colour wrong and has resulted in this problem. I'm as the builder says, pragmatic about the issue! I would prefer the correct colour which is meant to be grey, but am happy to wait for the work to be done, there is no point getting angry or upset - but we won't tell the manufacturer that! They are the ones who have to take responsibility and pay for the work replacing it entails so I will be represented by him as a very unhappy customer!
