Day 160 Meet the Hatchimals
I'm afraid that Hatchimals are all that I can offer today: these little figures were acquired when we went to TK Maxx on Tuesday. They arrive inside eggs which you 'hatch' by rubbing the heart on the side until it changes colour and the side softens enough to break in. Apparently you can buy various homes for them but so far we've avoided that. These three characters are presented on one of the bits of paper I used in my water colours experiment for Thursday's abstract. The colours wouldn't 'bleed' as the paper is too thin and not absorbent enough. Still, the colours seem to compliment the little creatures.
The weather was unseasonably cold today, reaching only around 12°C and a stark contrast to the heatwaves that we were experiencing a couple of weeks ago. I think that we can safely say that Summer is over.
In other news: in just a few days pupils will return to school in England and was last night before the government finally published its contingency plan advice. As we approach the coughs and colds season, I can see rather a lot of 'false alarm' incidents happening and several bouts of self isolation for some.
